January addition of The Factory Local welcomes three more amazing original bands.
The Dead Bottomleys -Marie Dance & Richard Dadson-Torrid A Love Affair
The Dead Bottomleys
...are a melodic Punk rock trio based in the cultural epicentre that
is Worthing :-)
A raw, aggressive sound is their oeuvre with a touch of
Psychedelia and early eighties post punk- think the
Pistols/Buzzcocks/Kennedys, with an undertone of Guided by
Voices/Chameleons.
If you enjoy the hectoring aggression of Johnny Rotten, the
hook-laden, barbed lyricism of Shelley et al, and the steamroller
pop -punk of the Ramones then they could be just your cup of
English Breakfast...
Check them out.
Marie Dance & Richard Dadson
Marie Dance fronts an Americana, folk/rock band called The Purple Shoes. They have built up a cult following along the south coast over the last few years with there melodic and heartfelt music. They speak to there audience through songs that people can relate to. The Purple Shoes have toured the UK, performed sellout shows and released an album of original music in 2020. They are now recording a second album and Marie will be performing at the factory as a duo with bass player from the band Richard Dadson.
Torrid A Love Affair
With introspection and reflection, this melodic rock/grunge outfit use 3-part harmonies and protean riffs to create an epic sound. With a 90s vibe and a proggy edge, Torrid (A Love Affair) create emotive stories with surprising twists and turns reminiscent of QOTSA and Skunk Anansie. Sit back, nod your head or go all out on the dance floor, we welcome you to unite in our torrid love affair…..
