Chequered Red

Chequered Red are an explosive alternative rock band with an aim to 'Paint the town red'. With a gripping live show and melodies that will not leave your head, we can guarantee you'll be singing along after every show.

The band quickly gravitated towards each other despite differences in musical taste and experiences. Differences aside they all have a shared passion and dream and let each of their unique characters shape the music they play to this day. The band consider themselves to have quite a varied sound though often draw comparisons with ‘Muse’ or ‘Linkin Park’ because of their heavy riffs, synth and classical harmony. The band are said to have multiple influences ranging from Slipknot, Mumford and Sons and Ariana Grande. This is evident with fans have previously described them as “very Fleetwood Mac” or “a modern London Grammar”. When fans were asked to describe the band and their music in three words people returned with, “unique, incredible and engaging.”

November 2019 saw the release of their debut single, ‘Try’, a combination of mesmerizing indie guitar, funky melodic bass and bouncy drums, adding some dance appeal to the melodic instrumentation. The powerful, yet touching, vocals alongside the acoustic piano and sparkly synth brings a softer, emotional touch to the song and their music. Since this release, they've been back recording another 3 singles to be released later this year! As well as this, they recently recorded a live, 3 song EP which you can check out on all major platforms.
